Charity fundraising - Host an event

Socialise for a good cause! Organising a cake and coffee morning, host a quiz at your local pub or a comedy night in a local venue is a great way to raise funds for Action4Youth and bring the community together.

The Caldecotte Xtreme Challenge - 16th April 2024

Join us for a unique team-building event next April – Xtremely good fun for an Xtremely good cause!

Participants navigate a thrilling obstacle course across land and water. Designed to build teamwork, the course provides exhilarating challenges from climbing, abseiling, caving, striking arrows, canoeing, running, and wading. There’s no event like it.

By taking part, teams will be helping create life-enhancing experiences for all young people, especially for those with disabilities and complex needs.

Virtual Races

Take part in an amazing running challenge through Virtual Running!

Virtual running works exactly the same as any other type of running but the difference is that the entered race can be run at any location, at any pace, inside on a treadmill or outside. All you have to do is enter a race and provide evidence that you have done it. Virtual races are a great way to stay fit and active all year round, raise funds for Action4Youth and get awesome medals for your participation!

By joining either the Fantastic 10k or the Festive Fun Run you’ll be helping to support Action4Youth as 20% off your entry fee is donated to us.

To raise further funds to support A4Y,  just set up a JustGiving page and encourage your friends and family to sponsor you.

Festive Fun Run

Grab a santa hat, elf costume or some tinsel, then run or walk a distance of your choice between 1st and 31st December 2023 to claim your medal! This distance is to be done in one go – this is not a cumulative challenge. Involve your children, family or work colleagues for some real festive fun!

Submissions proving your distance and showing your race time are required by 3rd January 2024 at 12 noon to claim your medal.

A minimum of 20% donation (from the full price entry) will be donated to Action4Youth – then set up your fundraising page.

Suggested fundraising target: £100 – £250

Fantastic 10k

Run or walk 10k (distance to be done in one go) between 1st September and 30th September 2023 to claim your medal! This distance is to be done in one go – this is not a cumulative challenge.

Perhaps you’d like to feel extra fantastic and complete your 10k on Roald Dahl Day (13th September), and/or dress up as a book character, or even Fantastic Mr Fox, for the occasion! This isn’t essential though!

Submissions proving your distance and showing your race time will be required by 3rd October 2023 at 12 noon to claim your medal.

A minimum of 20% donation (from the full price entry) will be donated to Action4Youth – then set up your fundraising page

The multi-award-winning Milton Keynes Marathon Weekend takes place during the early May Bank Holiday weekend. Join thousands at Buckinghamshire’s MOST POPULAR weekend of running.

Raise vital funds to support Action4Youth by running either the 5k, half or full marathon.

Welsh 3000s 2022

The Welsh 3000s is the ultimate Snowdonia hillwalking challenge. Summit all 15 of Snowdonia’s 3000ft peaks in three days completing over 50 Kilometres and 3710m of ascent. From Crib Goch to Foel Fras, we take you on a journey across the 3 major mountain ranges of Snowdonia and help you enjoy the very best of Snowdonia.

25,000 Step Challenge

At Action4Youth, every year we touch the lives of 25,000 children and young people from the most deprived sections of society; those with disabilities/additional needs and those who need support and inspiration to reach their goals and surpass limitations.

We challenge you, your friends, family and work colleagues to take part in our 25,000 step challenge to help to ensure no young person in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes is left behind.

The Buckinghamshire Way

Walk the Buckinghamshire Way  to change young lives in Buckinghamshire!

Action4Youth is here for every child & young person throughout the whole of Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes so this feels like a fitting challenge!

We work to ensure that all have the chance to enter adulthood as positive, confident members of our community. No–one should be abandoned, deprived of hope, opportunity or aspiration.

The Buckinghamshire Way  is long-distance walking route along the length of Buckinghamshire.  The route starts close to the southernmost point of the traditional county in Hythe End and finishes at the northern limit of Lavendon. It is 88 miles (142 km) in length!

What next?

We challenge you to set up a fundraising page, ask your friends, famiy, company and work colleagues to sponsor you and then getting walking!

Your challenge can take many forms!

  • Cover sections of the walk over a series of weekends or a month
  • Cover the distance virtually instead
  • Do it alone or with family, friend or colleagues

Charity fundraising - Complete a sponsored challenge

Run, jump, walk, swim for Action4Youth – the list is endless! If you prefer something more sedate, why not take part in a sponsored silence?

The easiest way to raise money is to set up an online giving page and invite friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you. You can do this via Just Giving.
