Marketing Manager

Established 70 years ago, Action4Youth is based in Aylesbury and is a charity operating across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes.

Action4Youth is the leading body for voluntary youth organisations in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. We work with our 100 affiliates and with communities to enable children and young people to grow and achieve through safe, enjoyable and challenging activities.

Senior Fundraising Manager

We are looking to recruit a full time Senior Fundraising Manager to Lead on Fundraising including Community, Events, Trusts and Foundations and Corporate Support on behalf of Action4Youth in order to meet the targets for new income, to help make a difference for more young people and to secure a stable and sustainable charitable organisation.

Counselling Lead and Centre Manager

The role of Counselling Lead and Centre Manager will be pivotal in setting up our new Youth Hub in High Wycombe for 12 – 18 year olds (up to 25 with SEND). This is an opportunity for someone with a can do attitude and a strong desire to make things happen.

You will join a supportive, driven, committed team whose desire to achieve is matched by an intention to enjoy work on a day to day basis. You will be based in our Youth Hub in High Wycombe, currently a rented premises, but soon to be a full multi service drop in centre offering a full range of sessions and activities for local young people. You should expect to enjoy being part of a collaborative, loud and energetic organisation.

Salary £39,135 – £45,305 dependant on experience

Job Title: Development Volunteer 

Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire

Position in the organisation: Reports to, The Fundraising Manager and working with The Development Team and wider Action4YouthStaff Team.

Main Purpose and Scope of the Role: To support Development Team members in researching and approaching prospects, with the aim of securing funds, increasing use of Action4Youth services and engaging companies and organisations in our work.

National Citizen Service (NCS) Programme Vacancy

Fixed Term Vacancy to start as soon as possible until 30 November 2021

Action4Youth has delivered the government’s flagship National Citizen Service (NCS) programme since 2011. NCS provides young people with the opportunity to challenge themselves, overcome some of their fears and develop their teamwork, leadership and communication skills.

Action4Youth delivers NCS across Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and Slough.

In response to our expanded delivery area we are currently looking to recruit:

  • An NCS Co-ordinator to help deliver all aspects of the preparation and delivery of the NCS programme for Action4Youth’s summer and autumn programmes.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping young people develop new skills whilst supporting their local community and who ideally have experience of the NCS Programme.

The successful candidate will have the confidence to present to audiences of young people, seasonal staff, parent/ guardians and education professionals when called up to do so.  They will have lots of enthusiasm and passion combined with experience of working with young people and be happy to go away on the residential elements of the programme.

Salary Range: £23,556 – £28,233 per annum

Caldecotte Xperience – Volunteer Gardener

Caldecotte Xperience is located in Simpson, Milton Keynes and is owned and run by Action4Youth. At Action4Youth our aim is to provide fun, often transformational experiences for all young people, whatever their background, ability or disability that not only challenge them but help and encourage them to grow as individuals, build personal confidence and set them new horizons from the perspective of what they can do rather than what they can’t.

We are currently looking for a Volunteer Gardener to help us to maintain the site at Caldecotte so that it is a safe and enjoyable environment for all our visitors.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Team and Assistant Team Leaders for our NCS Summer 2020 waves! If you are energetic and passionate about helping to encourage and develop young people, these roles are for you!

We are delivering eight three-week programmes across Buckinghamshire, dates delow:

  • Wave 1 (High Wycombe): Monday 15th June – Friday 3rd July 
  • Wave 2 (Aylesbury): Monday 22nd June – Friday 10th July
  • Wave 3 (Aylesbury): Monday 29th June – Friday 17th July

  • Wave 5 (Aylesbury): Monday 13th July – Friday 31st July

  • Team Leader – £1361 per three week wave (this figure includes holiday pay)

Holiday Activities & Food Programme

Action4Youth delivered two fun days of activity sessions for 90 children from High Wycombe aged 4- 11 years as part of the Holiday Activities and Food Programme from Buckinghamshire Council. The programme was set at YouthSpace, in Green Street and the activities were for children who are eligible for free school meals.

Action4Youth March Newsletter 21

Schools have gone back and we are now inching our way forward, with fingers crossed, to the easing of further restrictions. We know of the problems for young people which have been the consequence of the pandemic; the anxiety, fear, disruption to normal life, concern about exams, jobs and the future, withdrawal, loneliness, isolation and sadly, for many, bereavement.
