Big Challenge Lunch

An all-new celebration lunch recognising over 100 incredible young people. Recognising their leadership, commitment, skills, and social contributions.

Based on our highly successful Big Night Out, the all-new Big Challenge Lunch is our 2024 awards ceremony to celebrate the achievements of local children and young people throughout Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. It is set to be a fun, lively event including speakers, awards and a networking VIP lunch. The theme running through is ’employability and the future workforce’, which is critical given the importance of young people being confident and work-ready when they leave school.

As well as individual awards, schools have the opportunity to raise the Ultimate Challenge Cup and win £1000 for their school! Teams from Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire schools will be pitched against one and other across 10 challenge stations in a race against the clock for glory! The Ultimate Challenge Cup will be presented to the leader of the winning school’s local council for proud display in their offices. 

The day includes a delicious lunch, fun, games, creative-thinking and most importantly young people will have their achievements celebrated. From awards such as Outstanding Achievement and Exceptional Leadership presented by key local figures, students will share in one BIG celebration alongside headteachers, community leaders, local and regional media and business leaders.

As students head off for a well-deserved rest, post 1pm, other guests from local business and community groups will have the opportunity to network over a VIP working lunch to hear more from our speakers, including local sportsman and former England cricketer, James Hildreth; be inspired by A4Y impact stories and hear more about our future plans to inspire young people in the region. Plus, how to get involved to support Action4Youth going forward.
