Young people’s charity, Action4Youth, will host its annual conference for those working in the charity sector and education sector with a particular focus on children, on 12 November at The Gateway in Aylesbury.
The conference will focus on the important issues affecting young people today, including childhood obesity, gender complexity and other challenges and opportunities for young people now and in the future, along with discussions and workshops on governance, volunteering and the ever prevalent matter of funding for the charity and youth sector.
Guest speakers will include Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire and Action4Youth Patron, Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, Sarah Rose, Senior Children & Young People Programmes Manager from Britain’s LGBT equality charity, Stonewall, and Officer for Health Promotion at RCPCH Global Child Health service, Dr Max Davie.
The conference will close with a panel session about the current funding climate and the changing priorities for funding bodies, with contributions from Milton Keynes Community Foundation’s Ian Revell, Sarah Frayne from the National Lottery Community Fund, Ellie Stout from The Rothchild Foundation and George Anson of The Anson Charitable Trust.
