Milton Keynes-based Topps has made an extraordinary donation of more than 9,000 sticker albums and packs to youth charity Action4Youth.
Action4Youth had originally expected to receive 3,000 sticker albums and a selection of stickers. Instead, the local Milton Keynes based team at Topps, part of Fanatics Collectibles, went above and beyond by donating more than 9,000 items.
The albums and sticker packs were used as rewards for children and young people attending Action4Youth’s Holiday Club Adventure Days at The Caldecotte Xperience and visiting The Junction youth centre in High Wycombe.
They helped the charity celebrate young people’s achievements, effort and participation, while adding even more fun and encouragement to their summer activities.
Benedicta Morrow, CEO of Action4Youth, said: “Seeing the scale of this donation was a real wow moment. We were expecting 3,000 items, so to receive more than 9,000 was extraordinary.
“These packs helped us celebrate thousands of moments of effort, good behaviour, and achievement. A reward might seem like a small gesture, but it can make a young person feel recognised, valued and proud of what they have accomplished.
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone at Topps and Fanatics for their generosity and for helping us make this summer even more memorable for local children and young people.”
The donation builds on Topps’ wider support for Action4Youth. The company selected the charity to benefit from its summer party and recently took part in a large-scale volunteering day at The Caldecotte Xperience. The volunteering day formed part of a global Fanatics initiative, with the Milton Keynes team giving their time alongside colleagues around the world, as well as making a financial donation.
