Why choose Action4Youth?

Not every young person has easy access to safe spaces, adults they can trust or support to make more positive choices.

Action4Youth is a local youth charity supporting children and young people across Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire and surrounding areas. We provide safe spaces, outdoor learning, youth clubs, mentoring and targeted programmes that help young people build confidence, develop positive relationships and see a different future for themselves.

By running for Action4Youth, you will help more young people take part in activities and programmes that can change how they see themselves and what they believe is possible.

Your fundraising could help young people access:

Every mile you run helps create more positive moments for local young people.

Because we only have seven places available across all three races, we recommend registering your interest as soon as possible.

What is the MK Marathon Weekend?

MK Marathon Weekend brings thousands of runners to Milton Keynes for two days of running over the early May Bank Holiday weekend.

The event includes the Marathon, Half Marathon and Rocket 5K, giving runners of different abilities the chance to be part of the weekend. The routes take in the lakes, parks, boulevards and green spaces of Milton Keynes, with a memorable finish inside Stadium MK.

Whether you are chasing a personal best, taking on a new challenge or running in memory of someone special, this is a brilliant event to be part of.

Runners enjoy:

  • A scenic, largely traffic-free route through lakes, parks, woodland and original Milton Keynes villages
  • A flat, fast course ideal for both first-timers and those chasing a personal best
  • A spectacular stadium finish inside Stadium MK, cheered on by thousands of supporters

The event also serves as a qualifying race for major marathons including London and Boston, and as an Abbott World Marathon Majors Age Group qualifier.

How your fundraising will help

When you run for Action4Youth, you are not just taking on a race. You are helping local young people access the kind of support and experiences that many of us would want for our own children.

Small moments can stay with young people for a long time. A conversation with a trusted adult. A first go at climbing or paddle sports. A place where they feel listened to. A day where they realise they are capable of more than they thought.

Your fundraising helps make more of those moments possible.
