The Caldecotte Xtreme 2027

Gather your team. Take on the challenge. Help change young lives.

Get ready for Caldecotte Xtreme — our biggest fundraising event yet!

Now in its fourth year, Caldecotte Xtreme is an unforgettable team challenge across The Caldecotte Xperience outdoor education centre in Milton Keynes. You could find yourselves climbing, abseiling, canoeing, tackling caves, testing your aim and taking on challenges that put your teamwork to the test.

You don’t need to be an athlete. Just be ready to have a go, challenge yourself, have fun – and expect to get a little wet and muddy along the way.

Most importantly, by taking part in the challenge you’ll be helping Action4Youth create more opportunities for local children and young people.

Why take part for Action4Youth?

Action4Youth helps children and young people explore what is possible, develop the skills to thrive and find a place where they belong.

Through outdoor learning, youth clubs and safe spaces, mentoring and targeted programmes, we give young people opportunities, experiences and support that can make a lasting difference.

Sometimes it starts with a small moment: a first go at climbing, a conversation with a trusted adult, a place where someone feels listened to, or the realisation that they are capable of more than they thought.

Caldecotte Xtreme is our biggest fundraising event of the year.

By taking part and fundraising, your team makes more of those moments possible.

Fundraising together: Each participant is asked to raise at least £175 in sponsorship.

Team donation: Alternatively, your team or organisation can make a £1,000 donation, in addition to the £300 registration fee.

Whether you involve colleagues, friends, family or customers, give you the support and resources you need to get started.

Caldecotte Xtreme is completed in teams of 6 people.

Participants must be aged 8 or over. You don't need previous experience or a particular level of fitness – it's about teamwork, getting involved and having fun.

It costs £300 to register a team.

Each participant is then asked to raise a minimum of £175 in sponsorship, or your team can make a £1,000 donation in addition to the registration fee.

The challenge itself takes around two hours. Please allow approximately three hours for the full experience, including arrival and briefing. Your team will be allocated an arrival time before the event.

Wear comfortable clothing suitable for being active on both land and water. Quick-drying clothing is recommended and we'd advise avoiding denim – wet jeans and obstacle courses aren't the best combination. You'll also need sturdy footwear suitable for running, climbing and outdoor activities.

Absolutely. Cheer squads are very welcome. We'll provide further information about spectators before the event.

That's fine. We want Caldecotte Xtreme to be challenging but enjoyable. Our experienced team will be there throughout the event, and you won't be forced to complete an activity you're uncomfortable with.
