Volunteer Minibus Driver- Milton Keynes

Main Purpose and Scope of the Role

We are looking for a volunteer minibus driver who can transport children and young people to and from our outdoor education centre (Caldecotte Xperience, MK6 3AG) as part of our activity programmes. This person must have D1 on their driving license (allows people to drive minibuses with a maximum of 16 passenger seats) and journeys will be between our centre and local schools/ pick up points. The driver will be accompanied by another member of staff; this post is subject to an Enhanced DBS with barred list check.

Volunteers – Breakout Programme

Our Breakout programmes run across Bucks, Milton Keynes, Beds and Northampton! This 12-week programme is a hard-hitting intervention aimed at equipping young people with the tools to make more positive life choices. Young people follow a timetable of mentoring, classroom-based sessions and outdoor adventure activities. 

Your role will include driving our minibus and work alongside Action4Youth staff to guide young people through the programme.

What you need;

  • D1 minibus license
  • Previous experience of working with young people
  • Enhanced DBS with barred list check (provided by us)

Volunteer Photographer

Calling all budding photographers. Passionate about working with us and want to make a difference to young people’s lives? Ready to capture the magical moments we get to experience with our young people?

We are on the look out for special volunteer photographers (or those who are great with a camera or working towards becoming full-fledged!) This opportunity would suit a local person to Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Milton Keynes or surrounding areas. Must be willing to travel to our Caldecotte Outdoor Centre in Milton Keynes or The Junction youth club in High Wycombe.

As part of our volunteer team you need to be willing to be called upon to support at an event or an activity day. This could be weekdays, evening and/or weekends so lots of hour options to suit you.

DBS checks will need to be completed.
