Holiday Activities & Food Programme
Action4Youth delivered two fun days of activity sessions for 90 children from High Wycombe aged 4- 11 years as part of the Holiday Activities and Food Programme from Buckinghamshire Council. The programme was set at YouthSpace, in Green Street and the activities were for children who are eligible for free school meals.

Schools have gone back and we are now inching our way forward, with fingers crossed, to the easing of further restrictions. We know of the problems for young people which have been the consequence of the pandemic; the anxiety, fear, disruption to normal life, concern about exams, jobs and the future, withdrawal, loneliness, isolation and sadly, for many, bereavement.

There are signs of spring and hope in the blooming of snowdrops and daffodils and in the rapidly growing number of those vaccinated. After a difficult stop-start year it will likely be some months before we really can feel that the world is opening up again but here at Action4Youth we are looking ahead with energy and optimism.
NCS Programme will be delivered in Milton Keynes, Slough and Buckinghamshire
Action4Youth has been delivering the National Citizen Service programme to 15-17 year olds in Bucks since its inception.
The good news is that from this summer we will be delivering the programme in Milton Keynes and Slough as well as Bucks.
Finding solutions to support young people during lockdown
We need the whole community to embrace initiatives for a better future which means individuals and companies offering to volunteer, support or partner with us. Together, we can make a difference.

Here we are in lockdown again. The days are short, the weather is uncomfortable and all of the anxieties and pressures which have accumulated in the past year are weighing ever more heavily on us.
Action4Youth unveil its Mobiloo at Caldecotte Xperience
Action4Youth continue to knock down boundaries for young people with disabilities. The Mobiloo enables anyone, whatever the extent of their physical condition, to use the changing facilities after taking part in activities at our Caldecotte Xperience centre.

Looking back on the year is a bit different in 2020. We’re looking back on an extraordinary time with very many losses; people, jobs, time, experiences and perhaps not so many gains. We are all approaching the Christmas holidays in weariness as much as seasonal cheer in the knowledge that the many problems Covid leaves in its wake will be waiting for us in January.
