Action4Youth has been awarded a £60,000 grant from the Garfield Weston Foundation to support its work helping children and young people across Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and the surrounding area.
The grant will provide £30,000 this year and a further £30,000 in 2027/28 towards the charity’s core costs, helping Action4Youth continue to provide the people, places and programmes young people need to thrive.
Action4Youth works with over 30,000 children and young people each year, providing opportunities and targeted support that help them build confidence, develop skills, strengthen relationships and feel a greater sense of belonging.
Benedicta Morrow, CEO of Action4Youth, said: “We are incredibly grateful to the Garfield Weston Foundation for this generous support. Funding towards our core costs is particularly valuable because it gives us the stability and flexibility to keep delivering high-quality support where it is most needed.
“At a time when many young people and families are facing increasing pressures, this funding will help us continue to be there with trusted adults, safe spaces and opportunities that can make a lasting difference.”
The Garfield Weston Foundation is a family-founded grant-maker supporting charities across the UK that make a positive difference within their communities.
Established in 1958 by W. Garfield Weston, the Foundation has awarded grants totalling nearly £1.7 billion. In 2024/25 alone, it awarded almost £130 million to 2,967 charities across the UK.

About the Garfield Weston Foundation
The Garfield Weston Foundation is a family founded grant-maker supporting charities operating in a wide variety of sectors across the UK that make a positive difference within their communities.
Established by W. Garfield Weston in 1958 through an endowment of shares in the family business – now known as Associated British Foods plc – the Foundation continues to be guided by the Weston Family. The Trustees, each of whom are direct descendants of the founder, play an active, informed role in its work.
This successful model has ensured that our charitable donations have grown as the businesses have grown, enabling the Foundation to award grants totalling nearly £1.7 billion since its establishment. The most recent financial year 2024-2025 saw the Foundation give away almost £130 million to 2,967 charities.
