Camp Caldecotte gives 15–17 year olds five days to try new activities, make friends, build confidence and experience life away from home in a safe, supportive environment. It is a brilliant opportunity to develop independence, create lasting memories and complete your Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award residential.

For parents and carers
We know that sending your teenager on a residential can feel like a big step. Camp Caldecotte is delivered by Action4Youth at The Caldecotte Xperience, with young people supervised and supported by experienced staff throughout their stay.
Frequently asked questions
Camp Caldecotte is for young people aged 15 – 17.
Arrival is from 12pm midday on Monday, with departure at 10am on Friday.
Camp Caldecotte is ideal for young people completing the residential section of their Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award. During the week, participants stay away from home, meet new people, take part in shared activities and develop practical skills as part of a structured residential experience.
Action4Youth is a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Approved Activity Provider.

Camp Caldecotte costs £399 per person.
The price covers all activities, accommodation, food and supervision.
Yes. Camp Caldecotte is supervised by experienced Action4Youth staff.
All instructors hold enhanced DBS checks (including barred list) and relevant industry qualifications, with regular training in safety and safeguarding. They also have experience supporting a wide range of young people.
Action4Youth is Ofsted registered and has been awarded the Youth Provision Safe Practice Mark.
That is completely normal. Many young people feel nervous before a residential, especially if they are coming on their own. Our team will support them to settle in, get involved and build confidence during the week.
