Action4Youth News – Summer 2025

The sun shone brightly and so did all the young people this summer!

High Sheriff’s Day

Pippa Kirkbride, High Sherriff of Buckinghamshire, invited young people with special needs and disabilities from across the county to enjoy a day of activities at The Caldecotte Xperience.

Summer Camps

Two fantastic groups of young people joined us for week long residentials in August at The Caldecotte Xperience. A packed timetable of outdoor activities, cooking challenges mixed with a range of life skills.

“Just wanted to tell you, Pamela & Jenny that S loved your programme last week, had a wonderful time, made lots of new friends and hasn’t stopped talking about it -and to her new mates – since we got back home to sunny Sussex. Well done, terrific job, very grateful all round”

“TYSM for this week, it was amazing to see all of you guys. Missing it already”

Holiday Food And Activities (HAF)

We are pleased have run HAF at The Junction, The Caldecotte Xperience and in Buckingham this summer.

The Junction undertook another extremely successful HAF Summer programme. Young people took part in a wide range of craft activities from canvas painting to our very popular tie dying activity alongside mixed martial arts and boxing. For their “round the world” journey with their meals, trying new food, learning to cook as well as budget.

At The Caldecotte Xperience they were busy with full weeks of HAF across the summer. Here are just a few highlights of the action packed weeks.

We held two sessions in Buckingham this summer, providing a varied programme. The young people planned, budgeted and cooked their own meals. Tasty options from all.
