Action4Youth News – December 2025

Welcome to our new Patron

After very many years supporting Action4Youth as  Patron, Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher is stepping down and embracing a well earned  retirement. Sir Henry has been hugely popular with both the team and the young  people and we are most grateful for all of his efforts on behalf of  Action4Youth.

We have found a worthy successor! Milly Soames has been a trustee  of Action4Youth for almost 9 years and has been dedicated to supporting the  work of the organisation, the Board, the team and the young people. Milly is now  close to the end of her term as Trustee so everyone is thrilled that she has  kindly agreed to become Patron and continue her close association. We look  forward to having Milly in her new role.

” I am delighted to be continuing my support of Action4Youth by becoming its Patron.  We believe that all young people have the potential to succeed and A4Y helps to nurture and develop a whole range of skills & self confidence through its wide ranging programmes and activities at Caldecotte , out door adventure centre.’

” I’m immensely proud to be joining Action4Youth as the new Chief  Executive Officer.  I feel passionately about A4Y’s mission to support our  young people and provide them with the skills and confidence they need to  thrive.  I look forward to working with the Board and the team to further  grow the charity’s impact and reach in the years ahead”

Thank you and farewell to Jenifer Cameron

We wish to extend our immense gratitude for all her transformative work in her time at Action4Youth.

Alastair Douglas, Chair of the Board on Jenifer’s time in her role said,

“After nearly 10 years as CEO of A4Y, Jenifer Cameron has announced her retirement. Jenifer has been a great Ambassador for our organisation and a tireless leader. She has expertly guided the organisation through a challenging period over the last few years including the extensive renovation of the Caldecotte Xperience Centre as well as the loss of the National Citizen Service (NCS) programme. We wish her all the best in her well deserved retirement and she will be missed by the whole team.”
