Connexions is the Government's support service for all young people aged 13 to 19 in England . It also provides support up to the age of 25 for young people who have learning difficulties or disabilities (or both).
Through multi-agency working, Connexions provides information, advice, guidance and access to personal development opportunities for young people. It aims to remove barriers to learning and progression, and ensure young people make a smooth transition to adulthood and working life.
Personal Advisers form a critical link in bringing together effective support for young people. The support provided may range from basic information, advice and guidance, to vulnerable young people requiring more substantial one to one support.
In essence, as a Personal Adviser you will make sure that the needs of young people are met so that they are able and motivated to take education, training and work opportunities and achieve to their full potential. You will find yourself
